In fact, the fine rate is not only about how the machine working but also the general workshop consideration. Clean room is a basic but crucial part for high quality coating process. Following we will troubleshoot the most common quality issue for paint spraying system and give guidance how to make a tailored clean room.
Fine Rate Investigation
In coating plant, the most common issue is dust particles after curing. The dust can not be removed anymore and the finished product will be a defective piece after finishing and just reduce the production fine rate. Upon our continuous observation, the dust is mainly from the air while we have everything else clean such as the machine pipe system and paint supply system etc. The only possibility is the environment when there’s no clean air supply and proper ventilation. Especially when it’s manual spraying, operator brings a new impact for dusts.
How clean room works
In general, clean room makes an isolated space area inside room structure. The wall and ceiling are all sandwich panel with aluminum profile sealing for a box like construction. Ceiling and room corner are constructed with air supply window with hepa filters. Room outside fresh air supply pass through 3-6 layers filtration then blow in through air pipes. Depends the room size and clean class requirement, the air volume and amount of air supply windows will vary. In order to make the room air clean, we have to ensure stable and continuous air flow inside with slight positive air pressure.
Beside above, we also need to apply epoxy paint for every inch floor space to avoid dusts. For every entrance to clean room space we need to install air shower to blow out any dust from people. In this way we will keep the clean room area clean enough for high quality production.
Inside worker protection
No matter how clean the environmet is, the actual operation is still handled by people. Thus protection for inside operator is crucial for final quality control. In order to avoid dust from operator, they must wear antistatic clean room clothes and shoes/caps/gloves with face mask. Only after this, the operator can start production.
Environment clean is an important task and should be well told to everyone in paint shop. No matter how advanced machine in use, we can’t guarantee the best quality without a good envrionment. A well constructed clean room is not only to improve production quality and efficiency but also a name card of your business.
