Introduction of plasma spraying technology

Plasma spraying is a thermal spraying method based on plasma arc as the heat source and powder material. When plasma is sprayed, a consistent flow arc is generated between the cathode and the anode (nozzle), which heats the imported working gas to ionization into high temperature plasma and spews out the nozzle to form a plasma flame.The powder is melted, accelerated, and sprayed onto the substrate material by sending powder gas into the flame to form a coating. Working gases can be argon, nitrogen, or hydrogen can be added to these gases, or a mixture of argon and helium can be used. Plasma spraying be able to spray a wide range of spray materials, especially hard-to-melt materials with high melting points, such as hard-to-melt metals, ceramics, metal ceramics and other special functional materials.

Main components of plasma painting system includes intelligent control system, gas safety center, transfer box, thermal spray gun, main power supply, intelligent powder feeder and cooling system.

Gas Safety Controller

Plasma Transfer box
A transfer center of the entire spray system, which connects the power supply – control cabinet – heat exchanger – spray gun together. The box is equipped with a high frequency ignition water way air alarm. The case is removable and the water cable length is 5m (standard).

Smart powder feeder
Powder system advantages:

Heat exchanger(cooling system)
AFX-80 Heat exchanger, also known as chiller or water chiller. We use double motors compressor to make this machine smaller and save space for our customer. The spray gun is cooled down by water, and we use heat exchanger to cool down the high temperature water coming from spray gun, and then use these cooled water to cool down the spray gun again. In this way the spray gun can keep a normal working temperature and prolong the usage life of spray nozzle. 

Measurement and control temperature range -4.9 degrees C- 94.9 degrees C, display resolution of 0.1 degrees, control sensitivity of 0.1 degrees C, offset range of -0.5 degrees C-10 degrees C, the use of AC220V power input voltage, instrument environment: relative humidity≤90%RH, temperature at 0-45 degrees C non-corrosive and waterproof environment.
