But if you pick up any system to compare you would see there’re not two complete same setups even for the same product painting. It brings a lot of problems for people when trying to purchase a machine. Especially at the early stage, suppliers always have to ask us a lot of questions in order to receive a quotation, but sometimes we do not even have answers to those questions. Why it’s not a standard configuration so we can select directly? Well, this seems weird. But it’s truely the condition of this industry. Workshop Space
It’s for sure that there’re no two workshop space for same size and same layout. The space condition, floor height and passages etc are important when we’re going to make a full automatic painting line system setup. Because the painting line conveyor system will be arranged by offered space such as how many pillars to avoid and how to make full use of limited space etc. For plastic painting line we normally need to configure dust free room system for high quality production. Clean room needs to be 100% fit in existing workshop, so supplier must get exact dimensions or workshop floor plan to work with.
Process flow
Each product has different painting process requirements, even the same product can be vary according to specific requirement. For example phone case painting, we might coloring and varnishing directly or we might use vacuum metalization technologies. That will be completely different setups. Even we use same setup concept, but if we use different paint, the curing procedures and conditions can be vary a lot.
So in order to get a suitable setup, engineer side must understand the exact treatment process from A to Z. If it’s the first time for customer to configure paint shop, we can also submit our general quality requirement. Engineer will design by existing standards. There will be modification through mutual communication between customer and factory then find the most suitable setup.
Capacity Needs
Why capacity is important? It simply tell us how big the machine is. For example if we produce 10000pcs per day, it’s big difference to someone who only requires 1000pcs capacity. Engineer will evaluate this capacity and above two sections then determine a suitable configuration. As we see, each section is important of paint shop configuration as there’re many factors to consider together.
Spraying Technologies
There’re multiple spraying solutions according to various products painting requirements. For example, gun fixed spraying is good for small size objects on conveyor system. But for some big size like lap top or car bumper, we have to use robot by specific motion control. The selected spraying method will finally determine general costs so it’s very important part of paint shop setup.
Environment Setup
Environment refers to the general workshop environment. For example if we need to configure clean room. If we use water base paint, we also need to make balanced temperature and humidity control system. If we need to make treatment system of waste water and exhausting etc.. Sometimes this part is much more complex than painting line itself. Especially when there’s crucial requirement of environment protection, we have to include a lot of treatment technologies.
